5 Resources to Help You Stockpile Food For After Your Baby’s Delivery

The weeks leading up to a new baby’s arrival are jam-packed with last-minute baby prep, nesting, hospital bag-packing and then a whole lot of waiting. Once the baby arrives, time passes in a blur. Lack of sleep and extra laundry often leaves new moms without a plan for dinner. 

Whether you are expecting a new baby yourself, or you have a friend or family member that is due, consider stocking up the freezer with some easy heat & serve meals. Here are a few of our favorites. 

1. Pinch of Yum Freezer Meal Guide

I recently used this guide to prep a week full of meals for both my sister-in-law and best friend that are each due any day now. This guide includes a variety of meals including many gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options. I highly recommend printing out the handy labels with ingredient lists and cooking instructions to stick directly on the freezer bags. Dinner could not be any easier!

This food network star is freezer prep goals! Check out her extremely organized freezer including smoothie packs, soup, dumplings, breakfast burritos, and even pancakes and sausage on a stick.

This guide has a bunch of helpful recipes for breakfast and dinner, but also includes a comprehensive list of what to keep on hand for quick healthy snacks. 

4. Sweet Peas and Saffron Stocked Freezer Guide

Don’t live in the same city as the expecting mama? Organize a meal train for her with this helpful website. Recipients can schedule best times for meal drop off as well as select food likes, dislikes, and allergies. Friends can choose to drop off home-cooked meals or have restaurant food delivered. You can easily share the meal train schedule via email or social media so that the new mom never has to go a night without prepared dinner.
